Plaid Cutting Board

The second class in our cutting board series builds on the fundamentals introduced in the first course while pushing accuracy, layout, and glue-up skills further. Students will design and construct a striking plaid-pattern end-grain board, learning advanced stock preparation, precise strip milling, multi-stage glue-ups, and careful grain orientation to ensure durability and visual impact. Emphasis is placed on process control, error prevention, and clean execution, resulting in a professional-quality cutting board that highlights both craftsmanship and design discipline.
